NHRS Upgrades Member Portal

Since its launch in 2010, thousands of members and pension recipients have signed up for My Account, the New Hampshire Retirement System’s secure online portal where users can access their personal account information from any computer, tablet, or mobile device. NHRS recently launched My Account 2.0, an updated version of our popular portal with new features, better navigation, and enhanced security. Because this is an entirely new website, members, retirees, and beneficiaries – even those with an existing account – will need to set up an account in My Account 2.0.

Software Transition Causing Delays

New Name, Same Benefits

When the Legislature made significant changes to NHRS statutes in 2011, benefit eligibility, pension calculations, and whether certain types of pay were reportable to NHRS have been dependent on a member’s vested date or hire date. When NHRS transitions to an updated pension administration system later this year, members will see a new way to describe which category they fall into. In the new system – including the My Account online portal – members will be shown as being in different “Tiers,” which is just a shorter way to describe their existing status.

Proudly Displaying Our Mission
