      • Group I and Group II Member Education Sessions
      NHRS offers retirement education sessions throughout the state to members who are not yet retired. During this general information program, members of all ages and in various stages of their career will be provided with information about NHRS benefits, including an overview of NHRS as a defined benefit plan; service, early, disability, and vested deferred retirement; pre-retirement and post-retirement death benefits; and other important aspects of NHRS retirement benefits. Please note that personalized account information, pension estimates, and information about retiree health insurance are not offered during these sessions.

      Congratulations on becoming a member of NHRS. We realize that thinking about retirement may not be at the top of your to-do list at this stage in your career, but we encourage you to take a little time to understand the advantages of your NHRS membership and the benefits available to you or your loved ones. Employers

  • Webinars and In-Person Presentations

      • Employer presentations are geared toward individuals involved in payroll and/or human resources. 

      Employer Audit

      General overview of employer information including: member enrollment; salary continuance; part-time employment of NHRS retirees; earnable compensation; termination forms; and common issues found during employer audits. Different sessions are offered for political subdivision employers and school employers.

      Employer Reporting (all employers)

      Information and training on the reporting of active member wages and contributions and retiree hours and compensation including: navigating the DRS, clearing exceptions, remitting payments; and penalties for late or incorrect reporting.

      Note: These sessions are offered both as separate, one-hour events and as a two-hour combination presentation.
