Employer Benefits
The New Hampshire Retirement System (NHRS) is a defined benefit plan which provides benefits to its eligible members and their beneficiaries upon retirement, disability or death. Members who are not entitled to retirement, disability or death benefits receive a refund of their accumulated contributions (member contributions plus interest).
Employers are encouraged to provide their employees with a Summary of Benefits pamphlet and to direct their employees to the NHRS web site or an NHRS representative for more information.
